Direction Lander Camarero

Nizar Rawi, director of the Iraq Short Film Festival, tired of never receiving comedies at his festival, decides to try and encourage the production of this genre in his country and change the idea outsiders have of the Iraqi people.

Director

LANDER CAMARERO

Bilbao, 1981. Graduate in Audiovisual Communication, he mainly works as a screenwriter, assistant director and editor. He founded his production company Offtopik with the syndicalist, Iñigo G. Quesada. They still argue today over who founded it first. This discussion led to creation of the more personal fiction branch, named Pressure Filmak. The analytical documentary What About Columbus was his first work under the label, followed by the short films A Political Story and A Serious Comedy, two completely different takes on activism.
